About Nina Taylor (Poulshock) Founder of Materia, LLC, Herbalist & Holistic Wellness Advocate
Nina Taylor (Poulshock) is the founder of Materia, LLC, a trauma-informed herbalist and wellness advocacy practice dedicated to holistic healing, culturally responsive care, and community-rooted stewardship. With over 20 years of experience as a medical assistant—primarily in family medicine and across a range of clinical specialties—she brings deep medical knowledge, intuitive healing practices, and grounded presence to her work.
Materia specializes in burnout recovery, trauma-informed wellness, and holistic care navigation, guiding clients through complex health journeys while bridging the gaps between conventional systems and integrative support. Nina partners closely with each individual and their healthcare providers to advocate for care that is comprehensive, compassionate, and rooted in lived experience.
She holds certifications in Trauma-Informed Herbalism through Empathic Coaches Academy and holistic herbalism through Vital Ways Institute. Nina has also completed psilocybin facilitator training with InnerTrek. While not a licensed psychedelic guide, she plays a key role in holistic preparation and integration support—working in tandem with licensed facilitators and practitioners to ensure safe, culturally mindful, and accessible pathways to plant medicine and psychedelic care. Her practice centers stewardship, equity, and education in expanding access to these modalities.
Through Materia, Nina offers one-on-one consultations, integrative care coordination, educational workshops, and access to a growing herbal apothecary. Her work invites people back into relationship—with their bodies, communities, and ancestral practices—through nourishment, ritual, and resilient care.
Growing Materia, LLC
In Spring of 2025, Materia, LLC moved into brick and mortar in the NE Broadway district and now shares space with Bridge to Relationship, the private therapy practice of licensed marriage and family therapist Bridget Saladino. Together, they are building a collaborative, multidisciplinary healing space where nervous system care, relational therapy, and herbal wellness co-exist in service of whole-person healing and community vitality.
